Student’s guitarists would require simple guitar songs to help them learn the rope first, rather than starting to master the more complicated songs. Once a guitarist can master the basic guitar chords such as strumming patterns, and speed on the song (beat), he then gets the confidence to play insane guitar solos and riffs.
Ideally, a beginner guitarist should attempt to learn those songs that sound good for him/her to play. All it requires is a guitar and he/she can play all the songs.
3 Easy Guitar Songs
Listed here are some guitar songs that helped me in my quest to learn playing the guitar.
Time of your Life (Good Riddance) By Green day
This is a very easy song for any learner to begin playing. If you pay attention to the song carefully, you would learn how the strumming and picking goes: actually you will find out how it is supposed to sound. This eases your learning process because only the basic cord is played in this song; so you do not have to jump around the fret-board. Actually, the first 3 frets are used in the entire song. Like the cords, the picking is also quite simple. You may find the tempo of the song bit fast, but the song itself is easy to be trained and memorized. While training, you can play the song in slow speed.
Free Falling’ by Tom Petty
This is also an easy and uncomplicated song. In this song the same basic set of chords are repeated, and it is very easy to remember. Always keep in mind to go slow when you are learning and increase the speed gradually. Play in normal speed when you are confident of playing it right.
Hey There Delilah by Plain White T’s
This song may sound simple and uncomplicated, but I felt it to be the most difficult of the three songs. I found the tempo a bit too fast for my comfort. Because of the tempo, the strumming was becoming a problem. Actually, the cords are quite simple. So playing them should not be very difficult. It required quite a bit of practice to learn to play them at the right time.
These are my experiences and thoughts on these songs. Just by using the basic chords and nothing much complicated one could master the art of playing guitar. These are the learner friendly guitar songs. Apart from being uncomplicated to play, they are also quite famous songs.
